Church Pastor: Rev. Richard Cullen

Rev. Cullen was appointed to Cox Memorial United Methodist Church in July, 2020 after serving in Nashua, NH for eight years. Before that, he served churches in Massachusetts including the Blackstone Valley Cooperative Parish and Faith UMC in Chicopee before coming to Maine in 1996 to serve the United Methodist Church of Auburn where he continued for 16 years. While technically "retired", Rev. Cullen is enjoying his time serving half-time as pastor of the Cox Memorial UMC.

I want to welcome you to the on-line presence of the Cox Memorial United Methodist Church.  The Cox Memorial UMC has been a living presence in the community of Hallowell for over 200 years.  During this time the church has proven to be a spiritual home for many people and a launching pad for mission and ministry in the community and beyond.  Named after the first Methodist missionary, the Rev. Melville B. Cox, the church has embraced the call to go into the world bearing witness to the love of God through Jesus Christ. I hope that you will find your way to the church's physical presence located at 29 Middle Street and that you too will find it to be an oasis for your soul.
